The Capital Improvement Program is a listing of proposed and existing projects for the acquisition and construction of general government resources and intergovernmental grants and reimbursements. These programs are outlined in the proposed five-year Capital Improvement Program.
The final approval of each project by City Council is typically based on the recommendations provided by City staff. Many of these capital projects are brought before City Council only after the project has been through a thorough review and approval process by the appropriate commissions. This is to ensure that all reasonable concerns from of all parties, including the public, affected by the project have been considered and addressed.
