Crime Statistics
Each year the Federal Bureau of Investigation publishes Crime in the United States, some entities use reported figures to compile rankings of cities and counties. The following link is to the FBI Crime Data Explorer where the public and law enforcement may access current and archived data: https://cde.ucr.cjis.gov/LATEST/webapp/#/pages/home. (Disclaimer: the FBI Crime Data Explorer uses a methodology which can result in a varying interpretations. The City now publishes the California Department of Justice's Open Justice Data on its website).
